I sent this:

As you probably know, Ms. Goldberg recently made highly disrespectful remarks about the President of the United States.

I know that spokespeople are selected to present an image of a company to consumers. I hope that this is not the image that you would like associated with your organization.

Although I enjoy your products and have used them for quite some time, I cannot comfortably continue to purchase your products so long as Ms. Goldberg remains your spokesperson.

I hope that you will reconsider her as a representation of your organization. Please keep in mind that every individual has the right to express their personal views, but when they do so in a manner that alienates a large percentage of the population, the image that they represent becomes tarnished, to the point that their endorsement of a particular product or organization is actually detrimental.

I hope that you will not send me a simple form letter saying that you do not agree with her rhetoric, but that she has the freedom to express her views, because when you choose a spokesperson, it is not only their celebrity personality that is affiliated with your organization, but also their character.

Thank you.
