Agreed I got rid of TV years ago I recommend it I feel less enslaved to a particular way of thinking - it's like a weight was lifted from me

I don't have TV, but I see it occasionally at someone else's home, or a hotel (where, I confess, I treat it as a novelty).

When they first started putting watermark logos on the screens, I found it very disconcerting. Sometime later, a friend had the TV on, and I saw the logo spinning around, turning into advertising. Sometimes other advertising would appear at the bottom of the screen. It was so distracting that I had to walk away.

I asked them, how can you stand it? Oh, you get used to it, they said.

Too late.

Due to globilization, Hollywood needs America as much as America needs Hollywood.

My guess is (M)TV, movies, and music have become such a big business that IF every republican "switched off" tomorrow, there wouldn't be a tremor..let alone an earthquake.
