Hollywood's Bush-bashing act earns Kerry some bad reviews

NEW YORK -- Hollywood stars at a Democratic fund-raiser here late Thursday night ripped President Bush as a liar, "another cheap thug" and a killer in a night of Bush bashing that put the Kerry team on the defensive and provoked widespread criticism. Both Sens. John Kerry and John Edwards were on stage at Radio City Music Hall as the stars uttered their remarks. Neither one rebuked them. Kerry, in fact, said that every performer "conveyed the heart and soul of America."

Yesterday, Republicans called on the Kerry campaign to repudiate the remarks and to release a videotape of the concert so people can judge for themselves. Kerry aides reacted by saying that the stars' attacks didn't represent the candidate's thinking. "If John Kerry is going to praise last night's star-studded hate-fest and characterize it as the 'heart and soul' of America, he should share these values with voters everywhere," said Bush campaign manager Ken Mehlman.

Even a song written for the fund-raiser captured the vehemence of the night. In a song called "Texas Bandido," John Mellencamp wrote, "He's just another cheap thug that sacrifices our young. ... You're going to get us killed with your little white lies."

In a statement yesterday, Sen. Zell Miller (D-Ga.) said he was saddened, but not surprised, that Kerry didn't challenge the commentary. "Last night John Kerry held a fund-raiser in New York that featured performers in a time of war calling the president of the United States a killer, a cheap thug and a liar. John Kerry just sat there, grinning like a mule eating briars," Miller said.

Watch Team FlipFlop spin itself down the drain of depravity. It's a good thing.

Lured by big money and the seduction of looking cool and hip, the Dims have painted themselves in Hollywood liberal slime and now they're finding it comes with a bad smell.

--Who is John Legfuozamo?--

He has been in a couple of movies, and is (supposedly a stand-up comic) the only thing I can remember him being in is that drag movie, To Wong Foo, thanks for everything, Julie Newmar. He was such a good looking queen, I really doubted it was a guy under the makeup...

Someone who can post pictures here, can post the pic. I have seen it before in another thread, but I am just drinking coffee... I cant remember where

Saw giving up in my post? I said there's work to be done. I think most in here are far too dismissive of the subtext of all that's going on with this "gala". I know, there are many in here who know and have spoken of the evil Left and its recent attempts at power-grabbing. But let's not get too optimistic at what appears to be a major faux-pas on Kerry's part. The liberal-minded in our country may very-well view their diatribes as intoning their values (hating of Bush, for instance, is interpretted as loving America). Given Michael Moore, the press's work with Abu Gharib (sp), the incessant blaring of the "dismal news out of Iraq by the major media outlets, the generation of ill-educated that are now of voting age--given all that, wouldn't you say there is work to do?

And it will be work. Re-acquiring the institutions the Left has grabbed up over the past 50 years will take time. My concern is that there may not be an America left by the time those on the Right realize the nature of the work. That's all.

" I don't like what my old party's become."

That's because the former democratic party was made up of the "working" class (key word). The current democratic party is made up of the 60's hippies, welfare cons and extortionists trying to milk the middle class to the last drop. The liberal pimps need their prostitutes.

Thanks for posting the link. We need to write Slim-Fast to object to Whoopi's status as their spokesperson.

" Kerry criticized Vice President Cheney for uttering an obscenity at Leahy. However, Kerry granted an interview to 'Rolling Stone', and used the same obscenity directed at President Bush.
Kerry is a damned lying hypocrite. Furthermore, he is arrogant and uncaring about other people."

Kreepy sKerry learned everything he knows from Bill Clinton, keep lieing enough till time reverses history.

And, lest anyone forget "the kiss" Hillary enjoyed from Arafat's wife, not to mention the campaign contributions from Arab charities later proven to be terrorist fronts--the 'rat party has become the party of choice for those who support terrorists.

That haughty, smug, self-satisfied look of Kerry is going to lose him votes.

...and the election. You can count on it. The hate-driven Dems can't control their bomb throwing supporters. Zell Miller clearly sees what's going on in his party and the invevitable consequences.

Sorry, but I have never in my life ever considered a Whoopi Cushion to be a sex aid. :=) Am I missing out on something??

Kerry's self-absorption is such that when he made the infamous statement about voting aginst a bill before he voted for it, he was actually bragging about it. He saw no contradiction is his hypocritical position. Watta dork.

By the time we get through with him, he'll be a laughingstock by Nov 2.

Unfortunately, this will be nothing more than a blip on the RADAR. I remember when I said to myself, "heck Clinton will NEVER win a second term". Sigh. Unless the repubs get serious and agressive back to the dems, I am afraid we will see Kerry as our next president. :-(

The "message" she is sending with that dress is not very subtle. Anyhow, she also passed around keys to her hotel room, in case some didn't get the "message."

"Yeah, the debates should be great with Kerry up there pontificating, waving his arms, and pointing like an imbecile"

One can see a method actor and a bad one at that from miles away. sKerry is quite the animated scene chewing "actor". Just watch him, like the shot of him and Edwards walking across the lawn. sKerry was really emoting while Edwards looked uncomfortable (second thoughts?).
