Am I missing something? Boomers created rock and roll? They were what ... 5-10 or so when the first rock started. Bill Haley and the Comets were boomers? 1925 (Haley's birthdate) qualifies as a post WWII birthdate?
What about Chuck Berry (born 1926). Boomer?
Elvis (1935). Boomer?
I don't really know much about Rolling Stone's history, so maybe that was started by a Boomer. Rock-n-roll however is from the generation before the Boomers (aka The Silent Generation), my parent's generation actually. They would fall off their chairs laughing if they heard one of their Boomer friends claim Boomers invented rock-n-roll.
