LAS VEGAS Nevada's position as a battleground state in the upcoming presidential election has sparked an increase in fraudulent voter registrations (search) in southern Nevada, a top election official said.
Larry Lomax, Clark County (search) registrar of voters, said his office has identified several hundred questionable registrations among the 5,000 registration forms submitted to his office every week.
The Nevada Attorney General's Office is investigating.
"We've never seen anything close to this," Lomax said. "There are stupid criminals out there, and there are smart ones. We can spot the stupid ones because they submit them in a stack."

"It's useless to do that kind of fraud," said Terrence Tolbert, state director of America Coming Together (search), a national voter registration group. "You can't turn out fake registered people to vote."

"Wanna bet the party affiliation of the fraudulent registrants?"
That's a no brainer. Of course, they are democrats.
"And, remember the lost "ether" votes by a faulty computer server in some district in PA!"
I saw this headline and thought it was about your county!
Like I have been saying for 7 years now: The vote fraud scam artists often register phantom voters as Republicans or Independents to confuse investigators. Start watching for phantom voters on the rolls. They simply make up names and register them to an address with a mailbox on the street. The professional election scam artists use illegals and winos to steal the sample ballots from your mailbox in order to vote them absentee. In the 1996 election in Orange County, CA, I surveyed 200 registered voters in Orange County across 7 precincts. 50% were non-existent phantom voters. 50%!!! The phantoms were registered to ordinary homes in suburban neighborhoods where the mailboxes were accessible from the street to facilitate stealing the sample ballots. BTW, my survey was in Bob Dornan's district during the election where he lost his seat. IMHO, the phantom voters did far more fraud damage to him than the illegal aliens that you read about in the controlled press. The LA Slimes and the OC Register knew about this because I offered them proof. While the Democrats also use illegals to vote, they carefully cover up the highly effective phantom voter scam. Elections often go to the candidate who is willing to commit the most felonies. If any Freepers want to know how to bust this scam, email me.
I was just on a site that reports political contributions by zip code. I knew we had a cloister of broccoli-bus Kucinich nuts here, but this is still Bush country.
The FBI had better get all over this right now. If they start looking too close to election time it will be universally dismissed by the left wing press as a political scheme by the current administration. Mark my words...
the dead don't lie
FBI has never before investigated voter fraud.
Neither have ANY repubbie elected officials!
(WHY?)
I had an article from a PA newspaper after the 2000 Presidential election. I kept the article for about two years to send around to my VA Commonwealth legislators to urge them to go optical scan versus electronic touch-screen....
I no longer have the article, so now I don't remember the "where", only the when. I only remember that it was in a relatively conservative district and that all the votes cast were irretrievably lost in "ether-space" off of the voting server... a software glitch or something... Sorry, I cannot retrieve it even "Googling" for it.
believe me, if it was republicans that would have made the nyt's head line.
Egggggsactly.
