While the use of condoms is helpful, I wish the govt and medical authorities would be more forthcoming about condom failures.

Condoms prevent pregnancy only 86-98% of the time when they are used correctly. And that is with the knowledge that most women only ovulate once per month with only a few days window in which they can get pregnant.

With STD's, you can contract it every single time you have sex. If the failure rate for pregnancy prevention is 86-98%, I wonder what the true failure rate for "safe" sex" is?

The fascinating thing to watch is that more and more of the public television programs are openly pro-gay and work story-lines into shows, movies, etc. Germany is already forecasted to get the first gay M-TV network. The amusing thing is that whenever AIDS is worked into shows or movies...its always a sadly-told story with a push for government funding of medicine and research. I've lived in Germany for ten years and find the situation almost a joke. Most Germans out in the rural parts of the country simply aren't buying the acceptance idea...its a surburban type thing.
