I hate to tell you, but people on this (yes I live here) island are just about 100% Loony Leftist Liberals. Well-heeled, well-educated, sanctimonious morons who march in lockstep to the slow, droning, hypnotic beat of the socialist drum without thinking, questioning, or even wondering about other points of view. Braindead Island describes it accurately.

A couple of years ago, a fellow next to me in the grocery checkout line, looked at me, broke into a huge grin, and said, "I cannot believe it. You look alive." He did too. We chatted. He'd moved from here to Italy, was back on vacation to see relatives. He perfectly described the "sort of cloud" that hangs over the island. People all seem hypnotized to him, with dead eyes and even deader personalities. (Deader? How dead can you get? You'd have to come here to find out, but I don't recommend that.)

So I assure you, not one person in the crowd of zombies who shuffle along on only their left feet would dare to consider objecting to one who hurls insults at a brave American soldier. No way.

As another Bainbridge Island resident, Veto has nailed it. The Liberal Left has a firm control of life on this island. The "Women in Black" have a permanent area to congregate, Fahrenheit 911 enjoyed an extended run in our local theater and our city counsel puts a halt to business growth at every turn. It's no wonder that our citizenry walk around like zombies. They truly ARE Brain-dead!
