I must admit myself I rarely watch television anymore except for news and documentaries.Same here- I avoid the TV like the plague it is, except for breaking news- and then, I will tune in talk radio and get on the 'net to find the details.
Television is like a vast, beautiful river, a mile wide... and an inch deep. No matter how much you look, or how far, it is always merely an inch deep. There is no "depth" there- just pretty pictures and empty chatter.

The sad thing about celebrity is that one does not need an IQ above 85 to be one.

And network television and the music industry have also lost me as a customer. Advertisers must surely be aware of the alienation of a sizeable portion of the population due to idiotic performances such as this. I think they are. Judging from what I see of the little I do watch, most of the deep pockets are advertising in sports. That's where the audiences are right now.

You're right. Just because some of these bozos have played cops and firemen, doesn't make then cops and firemen.

The democrats have spent two years griping that Bush hasn't spent enough on domestic security and first-responders, that the war in Iraq hasn't made us safer, etc. etc. First responders don't stop an attack. Intelligence does. What irritates me is that they think we're too stupid to figure that out.

at some point these people are going to realize they have driven off their customer baseI expect Kerry and Edwards will be feeling that sting very soon.

There are two Americas, as I said yesterday - the Michael Moore version versus the Ronald Reagan version. I have faith the Great Man will triumph from beyond the grave.I appreciate that sentiment and somehow (by faith) I think you're right.
Those on the Michael Moore/Whoopi Goldberg side simply reek.
