After being inundated with calls from L.A. listeners, Asa Hutchinson has agreed to go on the show. He's on right now, so be there or be square. Will try to type the good stuff while I listen.

Contact Asa Hutchinson, Under Secretary for Border & Transportation Security and tell him that you want the Border Partol to do their job! Call at 202-282-8355 or e-mail him at asa.hutchinson@dhs.gov. Now dont forget to tell him what you thought of the interview with John!

"Are you a wall guy, a ditch guy or do you just want thermonuclear devices floating in the Rio Grande?"
My preference would be for you to escape the fog of delusion in which you have surrounded yourself.

That was my point, exactly.
To: AmishDude
So, do you support illegal entry into the United States or do you support enforcement of our immigration code?
I'm just trying to get my bearings on exactly what it is you're debating - or trying to...

Did John asked Asa what was illegal about the raids? It really didn't matter what question John asked, Asa Hutchison never answered a single one. Not one. Everytime John asked a question Asa would start giving a pre-programmed speech that had nothing to do with the question.
It was horrid.

Are you a wall guy, a ditch guy or do you just want thermonuclear devices floating in the Rio Grande?I'm more of an inexpensive fence guy. Not as hi-tech as the Israeli wall.
What say we fund it as an experiment in border control?

I contacted him earlier when it was first announced he'd stop the interior arrests. I got back a read receipt - but no answer. Almost the same responses as John got..

I'd love to hear the audio but text would be just as good. No. Asa sounded like a stupid idiot. He danced around the questions like Muhammed Ali danced around his opponents. The text would never give the flavor of the interview.

What I understand from Amish Dude, Poohbah and Dane is that it's not a Fed problem and we need to go home and call Feinstein and Boxer...
It's all California's fault!!!!
/sarcasm on

Then Dude needs to be reminded the AG, under FEDERAL directives has sole authority to direct the enforcement of immigration code - if he/she wasn't hamstrung by lame-@$$ FEDERAL political prostitutes.

I suspect every e-mail on this subject received similar treatment... the process is called mass-deletion. Shameful behavior for an elected offical, yet a standard operating procedure for Washington bureaucrats.

It's their very weak and uneducated attempt at trying to isolate, and protect those in this administration and the federal government.

The RNC is playing don't ask/don't tell with their base on the question of illegal immigration.
The Republican Party knows the answer they'll get, if they ask their constituents about illegal immigration.
That's why they refuse to ask!
The question wasn't on the last questionnaire the RNC sent out, but the answer came back to them, in black magic marker, on a lot of them.
LOL!

However... most people are able to see through the dribble of their deceit.

Do you have any idea how easy it is to get over the Canadian border? Do you have any idea the number of international flights that go into JFK alone? Every single day? The sheer magnitude of the immigration to and from this country is staggering, not to mention people who just want to go to the Grand Canyon for a vacation. So, you guys are bitching and whining and moaning about a handful of agents and one operation getting a pause in your provincial little region of the country.
Your own local law enforcement won't trouble itself to enforce immigration, you won't bother to vote politicians into office who deal with the issue. I'm sorry, but the feds have much bigger fish to fry right now. This is amazing. This administration tries to get some hold on immigration (largely due to 9/11) and you guys want to bitch and moan that there aren't 3.4 million soldiers at your little Mexican border, machine-gunning people down on sight. The INS has vastly tightened its grip since 9/11, but no, we have to make sure one tiny operation doesn't get interrupted because some agitating little jerk on the radio gets his panties in a wad over it!
Fences won't stop anything. A number of the cases Joe cites were people overstaying their visas and I can guarantee you they didn't spend one minute in Mexico.
What's the solution? What do we do? You can complain all you want, you can post as many stories of illegal immigrations committing (other) crimes all you want, but tell me what you want to do
Other than having an administration official give you glib answers on the radio. Because each and every one of you are nothing but a contrarion. Go ahead, deny that you're just a contrarion.

The audio link to the interview is posted here at #137. As far as I can tell, that's the streaming audio.
I know it's a bit early to expect an archived audio recording.

I've sorta figured he put mine in the "deleted" bin.
The first question I ask is where a candidate stands on immigration code enforcement - not giving them a chance to clearly figure my position. When they waffle or give elusive replies - I plainly tell them "I will do my best to help see that you do not fill the office you're seeking."
Our borders are the last line of defense in the WOT.
