That is such a great idea!! I'm so glad to have found Free Republic. It's ideas like this that I am capable of doing but not smart enough to come up with by myself! I'm hoping that by hanging out here I will eventually begin to think like this myself. Hope you don't mind if I "steal" this idea from you! :-) It would be a great lesson for my kids.
Oh my - I would be honored for you to steal!! :o) Be prepared -- our firemen have offered us a personalized tour of the station AND the equipment. One other thing, on Sept. 11 at the time the towers came down, they read the names of all the firefighters who died that day in a ceremony. So it's best to go in the LATE morning or afternoon -- I found this out rather clumsily! ;o)
