I sent the PW leaders a note a couple weeks ago about this event and asking them if they wanted to cosponsor, and I got no reply.

BTW - This has happened before, but only with orgs that have had contact with a certain group of FReepers who have disparaged the FRN in the past. It's too bad.

Thanks. Just sent off an e-mail to Paul and Kevin advising them of VetCoR's interest.
This could be large and very encouraging to our Troops, the families of 9/11, and patriotic citizens everywhere. Sure I don't have to remind you to inform your organizational contacts. The more sponsors you have sign on, the more interest by the media.

This sounds awesome. Who will the speakers be?

There isn't one centralized event, we hope to have several hundred events around the country.

Too bad indeed. But if we build it, the right people will come. We're in good hands -- ours. ;-)

I don't understand how this can be Non-Partisan? I thought the Dems were saying that there is no War on Terrorism, only a police action.

The organizers want to keep the door open for Dems, like Zell Miller, who still have a few brain cells functioning.

Bob, you and the "disparaged" need to make amends. You've lost a valuable resource in the Protest Warriors, not to mention the DC folks. I know we all have our little fiefdoms, our specialized projects, and personality differences, but the PW is a national effective group. Although I'm probably not the one to preach, but simple non-qualified apologies go a long way. Just MHO.
It just so frustrates me that "our" side can't get our stuff together while the other side coaleces no matter what their individual issues are.

I'm not sure what you are talking about. I am a PW member and talk with several of their local activists. The fact I did not receive a note back may be for many reasons, I was just noting the coinky dink.
BTW - Who is supposed to apologize to whom and for what?
