'Cause of the round-about driving for treatment, it was day 3 before he got the anti-venom. The swelling started going down in a few hours. For rattlesnakes, you need this before 24 hours to prevent tissue death.
He's good to go, but won't be asking to go back out on the property.
If ANY Doc wants to do Wait'n Scrape, call around and drive somewhere else. If it means jumping on a plane to Florida, then so be it. Wait'n Scrape will mean you are crippled/maimed anywhere you got bit. If the Docs don't treat you right away, they are waiting.
