Lily-White Democrat Ticket Angers Black Activists

The Democrat establishment loves to talk about "diversity," but its failure to practice what it preaches has black activists threatening to flee the party's plantation.

"Minority activists are unimpressed with the Democrats' new middle-aged-white-guys presidential ticket," the Boston Herald reported today.

"From city councilors to clergy, black community leaders charge that Sen. John F. Kerry's choice of Sen. John Edwards as a running mate fails to diversify the ticket ... ."

The black vote is "wide open," said the Rev. Eugene Rivers of National Ten Point Leadership Foundation.

"If Karl Rove makes a decision to mount a serious bid with a real proposal for the cities, we could see some de-alignments and realignments," he told the Herald. Kerry and Edwards have failed to make an "intellectually credible" case for the minority vote, he said.

Democrats' 'Terrorist Attacks' on Blacks

The Rev. Wayne Perryman says blacks should have given condescending, exploitative and vicious Democrats the boot long ago.

"For 150 years blacks were victims of terrorist attacks by the Democrats and their Klan supporters, including lynchings, beatings, rapes and mutilations," he writes in "Unfounded Loyalty: An In-depth Look Into the Blind Love Affair Between Blacks and Democrats."

Note that the only known ex-Klansman on Capitol Hill is Democrat Sen. Robert Byrd of West Virginia.

The Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, head of Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny and author of "Scam: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America," has long exposed the unsavory ties between the Democrat establishment and the likes of Jesse "Shakedown" Jackson.

As for the nation's largest ethnic minority, Latino activists are upset that Kerry didn't tap New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson to be his running mate. It was so embarrassingly obvious Richardson was out of consideration that, in a pre-emptive strike last week, he stage a sour-grapes photo op to announce he didn't want the job ... a claim he had already been uttering for weeks.

Yes it would. The only problem with Rice is that she is "mildly pro-choice" and I am unclear on how she defines that exactly. It would matter where she stands on the issues, of course. That doesn't matter as NSA, but it would matter in this case. I like her though. The idea of something like this just gives me renewed enthusiasm. It would be so sweet to watch all of those on the left and in the media have to bash our black candidate while they endorse the lily-white johns.

The truth is, many blacks are social conservatives and would fit in perfectly on our side. It's crazy for all blacks to vote the same. They don't all think the same.

This is our opportunity if we have the guts (and class) to seize it. We may not see another chance like this for a long time. Many blacks are unhappy for various reasons.....They do NOT like their long civil rights struggle compared to sexual perversion. They LIKE the idea of vouchers. They are tired of not being asked to the top Democratic ticket when they have been so devoted to the party.

The Democrats have made the bigoted mistake of thinking that all Black folks think alike.

Back when I was still an ignorant liberal, MANY years ago, it was a middle-class Black person who tried to get me to see the error of my ways.

There is a large group of middle-class Blacks who are ripe for the conservative harvest.

But John Kerry said he was going to be the second black President. Why would they feel left out?

(Other than the democrat party telling them they aren't good enough to even be the first or second black president, that a white guy has to do it for them.)

The black vote is "wide open," said the Rev. Eugene Rivers of National Ten Point Leadership Foundation.

Everyone knows that 80% of your "community" will show up like brain dead robots and pull the D lever.  Until you begin voting in patterns less predictable than registered democraps or start raising serious amounts of contributions, you have no leverage and there's no reason to take you seriously.

Undoubtedly.

Only it cannot be discredited that when someone of Cosby's stature, a liberal to boot, starts addressing problems within the black community that a change is beginning to occur. No idea if others will be able to squash this revolution before it gains strength but it is a promising start.

Liberal institutions are at their height of power. We're seeing the beginnings of their fall. The Dems campaigning on their actual values, unions losing membership, MSM being challenged by conservative mediums, now blacks questioning their dependance on one party? Questioning the origins of this alliance?

I'm hopeful.

Given the history of the Democratic Party and the Republican Party, it is beyond me how any thinking Black American could POSSIBLY vote Democratic. The Democrats are the modern equivalent of the plantation master - with less class.

Just a few minorities on Bush's Cabinet:

Elaine Chao: Secretary of Labor

Rod Paige: Secretary of Education

Colin Powell: Secretary of State

Norman Mineta: Secretary of Transportation

Alphonso Jackson: Secretary of Housing and Urban Development

Condoleza Rice: National Defense Advisor (not cab)

If Black Democrats want to get on a Democratic ticket, why don't they try running a black candidate in the primaries with a message that is broad enough to appeal to most Democrats? Instead, all they had was the race baiter Sharpton and that "I'm here to take the men only sign off the White House" chick (whatshername?).

Yes, they will still live on the Liberal Plantation and be taken for granted. Their anger's not taken seriously unless they will really act differently. By November they'll still vote enmasse for Massa.

That's how it is in my community, and they're white. Things can change, maybe slowly, but they do change!

Democrats don't think Blacks are whole people. They consider Blacks and other ethnicities as a very important fixture for their power but ultimately they consider them special-needs cases.

White liberals aren't about to vote for any minority as is obvious anytime there is a Democrat primary. White liberals will never put any minorities in a position of authority unless there are strings tied to his back that are clearly attached to a white man or woman's fingers the same way that a parent might let a child think he is driving the car while sitting in the parent's lap and touching the steering wheel.

Rev. Wayne Perryman was interviewed on Hannity & Colmes a week or two ago. Made some excellent points when discussing his book, "Unfounded Loyalty". If only the blacks would pay attention and THINK! If only...

Kerry and Edwards for the party of the little guy. What a joke. You couldn't find two more White, exclusive, country club type elitists if you tried.

They really do think people are stupid.
