What if this guy owned a demolition company and had his kids working with dynamite?

What of it? Chances are the kids would know more about safely handling dynamite by age 5 than the average person. By 14, if they had been around dad a lot, they would probably know how to set up and execute a shot better than the vast majority of adults.

Everyone here is acting as if these kids had not grown up around this equipment (like kids on a farm), instead of having it in their day-to-day lives.

The whole bit with spanking the kid at the parent's request is included in the article to make the man seem abusive, despite the acquittal.

Come on, people here should wake up and smell the spin.
