Before I departed for the leftcoast for the week, I checked on my Freepers and got the news:
Like most long term friends, I don't remember when we first met but our precious years were starting. It must have been in the waning days of Bush(I), for we sensed times were worsening for our land.
We gathered other like souls for lunch at the officers club on base and formed Friends Of the Constitution of the United States (FOCUS) at a table in the rear of the club where we dicussed politically incorrect subjects.
Even when they changed the tablecloth to white, we always had the RTM there as well as in other resturants in the area.
We all split up over the next 10 - 15 years but we carried on our ideals and tried to stay FOCUSED.
Occasionally we would get together at the; (forgive me) DIXIE resturant in P'burg and discuss "issues of importance". He would always start out with "Hello again, my good friend", no mater how "motivated" I was over something JAHN Warner had done.
Physically he was never strong while I knew him but he did more with less that anyone else I knew. Someday I will see him again at a table of red and hear him say, "hello again, my good friend".

Thanks fer sharing that, my FRiend...Greg's introduced me to both "FOCUS" and the RTM, but I'd never known the genesis fer either. Looks like the Sultan's always been one to bring others of like mind together.
