Partin's report is misleading- in the beginning he states (iirc) that the damage to Murrah was inconsistent with the effects of an ANFO bomb on a hardened concrete structure, and goes on from there.

Well, of course, a curtain-wall steel beamed office building is not a hardened concrete structure!

He also apparently did not know that two rows of support columns ended on transfer beams at the second floor, and did not go down to the ground. So when he looked at pictures of the damage and saw no beams, he tried to make the case that they were removed by cutter charges- when actually they never were there. He never mentioned the transfer beams, and taking them out would collapse everything from floor two up.

Question: Seems to me that there is involved a muli-level / and 'crossed' agencies operations going on here.

1. Multiple Terrorist groups.

2. Multiple 'Good Guy' groups (domestic).

3. Multiple 'Good Guy' groups (foreign).

4. Multiple 'Observation' groups (foreign and domestic).

5. Multiple 'Public and private' observation groups as open/covert 'press corps'. (foreign and domestic)

Therefore,......maybe, inadvertantly,....all these guys are 'covering' for each other to 'retain' their 'sources' for future 'investigations'.

?......your insights as to this possible conflicting 'enigma'...?

Although I don't subscribe to Ben's analysis in toto, it is obvious that you do not have an understanding of either his explanation -- or of the actual structure of the Murrah Building.

Rather than try to educate you on this forum, I suggest you read pp 197 - 256, of the OKBIC Final Report. That section, entitled, "Evaluation of Published Explanations Concerning the Structural Collapse of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building" is replete with scale computer-generated drawings of the very (massive, cast-in-place, steel-reinforced concrete) structural elements to which you (incorrectly) refer.
