WASHINGTON -- U.S. and Mexican officials signed a controversial agreement last week that could allow millions of legal and undocumented Mexican immigrants who work in the United States to collect U.S. Social Security benefits.

I'm feeling helpless in regards to our government. It seems like you can't stop the illegal alien tide, the loss of American jobs to Mexico, India and China, the Family Marriage Amendment will probably end up stalled, and my tax money will go to Mexico to support aliens that shouldn't have been here in the first place.
It's like, you can't do nuthin, nohow.

Why don't we just anex Mexico....most of them live here anyway. At least we would be able to collect taxes from the ones who don't live here and mooch off our tax dollars. We have the worse excuse for a border patrol in the world. It's harder for Americans to get into Mexico than for them to get into America! I've been there...I know!

End Social Security Uh, AFTER we do a pro-rata distribution to everyone first. At this point, a penny on a dollar is more than I (late Boomer) will ever see.

I know I'll get pounded for this but I have mixed feelings about this. I mean, no, I'm certainly against it in terms of how Social Security is currently structured and paid for. But if it was operating as it was supposed to, like an actual pension plan funded by payroll taxes, with nobody getting out what they didn't put in, then I'd be OK with it.
