Many think the Federal Whistleblower Protection Act was designed to protect the whistleblower. Nothing could be further from the truth. It protects the federal government from whistleblowers by lulling the whistleblower into a false sense of security so they speak out and expose themselves and once exposed, they become targets for the wrath of the federal government employees whose, er, um, less than exemplary work habits have been exposed.
