With a name like Pravda, it must be true.

The other big "news"paper in the old Soviet Union was Novosti, which means "News". Since Pravda means "Truth," they had a joke (excuse my rusty Russian grammar): V'Pravda nyet Novosti, y v'Novosti nyet Pravda." Meaning, "In Truth there is no news, and in News there is no truth."
