Makes you wonder who in Rome picked McCarrick for this assignment.

And why doesn't the Pope listen to orthodox Catholic critics of liberal American modernism anyway?

1. Probably.

2. Yes.

McCarrick is like so many prelates, and ordinary Catholics. They just want to be liked by the imporrant people in society. They want this more than they want to be saints.

Yes. That and they want to be comfortable. Comfort and wanting to be liked.

Revelation 3:16

So, because you are lukewarm–neither hot nor cold–I am about to vomit you out of my mouth.

I'm putting on my flame proof suit now.

Here's my flame: Keyes is right 99% of the time. 8-)

< harp music> Imagine Keyes as Bush's running mate and debating Edwards on the subject of abortion. < /harp music>

We can't blame God for not sending us prophets.

What on earth can McCarrick gain by being such a weenie?

As a typical fence straddler, Teddy McCarrick courts both sides. He loves being counted among the more powerful voices in Washington.

Bump. Great article by Pat.

Too bad he's not a WSJournal, NYT regular. 'Conservative' pundits like Safire and Geo Will are getting more and more muddled with words, and never make a point.

Wish he'd rejoin the Republican Party or at least speak at the upcoming GOP convention on Right to Life. Zell Miller got a spot, why not Pat? Both Zell and Pat are the most articulate on where the rank and file are on the Corrupted Democrat Party and Right to Life.

Pat, 90% right most of the time, is one of our greatest living Americans.
