Sure would make a great Bush ad!!! All they need is a black screen with the words "The night before the announcement..." - then flash both signs...then "another flip-flop"...people will automatically think, "Kerry wanted Graham before he wanted Edwards before he wanted McCain"...too funny.
No kidding! Graham is completely round the bend, and apparently this never dawned on Kerry until late in the vetting process. Myself, I wouldn't have put Graham on the list to begin with! Even I, a lowly grandma in Indiana, know that Graham is certifiable!
I heard her say that...she has that amazing southern way of sounding charming and sweet as she inserts a cutting remark.
The way Kerry handled this entire selection process is a window to his executive skills. He ran it like a reality show, trying to manage the media and create excitement. To me it wasn't the work of an accomplished executive.
They showed the brand new Kerry/Edwards ad during HARDBALL - LoL - it actually has the words "regular people" in it.
From what Chrissy Matthews was saying, it seems to have boiled down to a battle between Kerry and Schrum. Kerry wanted his best friend, Bob Graham, but populist weasel Schrum insisted on Edwards.
There's a very good reason for that.....
Kerry is not now, never has been, and never will be an accomplished executive.
However, I am comforted by the thought that this is Shrum's pick. Shrum has never been on a winning ticket, and he is one of the architects of that fine political play, the Wellstone Funerally.
You forgot to include that Schrum is slime...hehehehe

Gotta run for tonight.
Does Schrum also write Kerry's dull speeches, or is it just Kerry's delivery that is dull?
Shrum also was, I think, the source of the "panel discussions" by ordinary, BORING citizens during the Rat convention of 2000.
Bob Schrum dresses like a communist spy from the 30s.
Dang I hate to be the skunk at the Garden Party but I watched a long interview of the silk pony on cspan which was done in 2001. He is good, really good. He came across as sincere, decent, nice, smart. I know he is a trial lawyer and I hate them, but dang, this guy has a nice persona. If they tutor him up and let him out, he will help Kerry. I hate to say it.
He cannot stand up to intense questioning. He flubbed Meet the Press...remember?
Rove is armed with binders on the guy. Have no fear.
Speaking of slimeballs, there's an article just posted (an old one, unfortunately) where Michael Moore, while doing his London stand-up show, told his audience that the people that died on the airlines on Sept 11th were "scaredy-cats" because they were white....you should read it.
With Kerry and Edwards, we have two people that voted for the war and against the money to fund the troops. Enough said, huh?

Bush-Cheney ticket should be able to get some mileage out of this. Question is..will they do it.They don't seem to have capitalized on some obvious things like this. I even wonder if Bush isn't repeating what his father did..that is, maintain an arrogance that he couldn't be beaten..and, low and behold, he is. Let's pray not huh?
