I so hope she runs and loses the gubernatorial primary to Perry in 2006. Then we could get a real Republican in that Senate seat.

KBH votes conservative about 95% of the time. We lose her on abortion and women in the military issues.

I hope she runs and beats the heck out of RINO Perry. She will do less damage in the State House on the two issues we disagree on and Perry is a fool. Your hope of getting a "real" Republican in the seat will be tested by those lining up to run. None will be as conservative as she has been.

I can think of one person who I'd like to see replace Kay in the Senate and that is Representative Henry Bonilla. His ACU rating is over 90% most years with the bills lowering it being things such as the Patriot Act & related bills and Medicare.

Two other good Representatives that could run to replace Kay would be Pete Sessions and Joe Barton.

I have a feeling that the two Democrats that might run against her will be Chet Edwards and/or John Sharp. Both could easily eek out a victory due to their appearance as "conservative" Democrats.

Abortion should be EVERY conservative politician's #1 issue. Until we end crimes against humanity, all other issues are meaningless.

I wrote Kay an e-mail from her site informing her that she will not be getting my vote if she does not confirm this judge, I hope others will do the same.

>>>"KBH votes conservative about 95% of the time. We lose her on abortion and women in the military issues. "

Where does she stand on illegal immigration? Did you forget that one? As I recall she won't take a stand to stop illegal immigration.

She's a liberal country-club conservative. Perhaps a "conservative liberal," or a "liberal conservative." The right name has to be some kind of oxymoron. She often votes for corporate welfare but not for individual rights. She's a lot better than a left wing wacko, but not a conservative to brag about.

Other than that, she seems like a nice lady.

I can't see too much of a difference compared to Gov. Rick Perry. I'm not supporting Perry nor calling him a conservative, but the only big negative weighing down voters on Rick Perry is the issue of how to change the funding for public schools. No one has an acceptable solution for that problem -- as no one wants to cut spending or stop the illegals from overflowing the school systems.

Kay Bailey Hutchison lead the fight to keep the National Endowment For the Arts, when the conservatives in the House had it killed. She lead the fight to save the National Endowment for the Humanities, she voted to fund Planned Parenthood, she lead the fight against repealing the Wright Amendment. She was the first politician of any party to support Clinton’s wag the dog, bombing attack, the day the impeachment vote was supposed to be taken in the House.

The faster we get rid of Hutchison the better for Texas, the party and the nation.

"KBH votes conservative about 95% of the time."

Kay's in a nose dive! She only had a 75 in 2003!

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R)
Texas
Republican, Years of Service: 11
ACU Ratings for Senator Hutchison:
Year 2003 75
Year 2002 100
Lifetime 91

Oh well, what are a few million more dead babies (or jews, or blacks, or whomever we are reducing from the ranks of humanity) as long as she is good on MOST secular issues. How many votes do dead babies deliver, anyway, right?

"the wife is to subordinate herself to the husband" and that "the woman is to place herself under the authority of the man."

Who could NOT object to that statement?

KBH votes conservative about 95% of the time. We lose her on abortion and women in the military issues.

We also lose her on Second Amendment issues and immigration. She would be satisfactory if she was from a state like Pennsylvania. But her voting record is unacceptible for a Texas senator.
