Democrats have become the party of Anti-Americanism. Even worse, they have become the party of anti-westernism. They hate the west and everything it stands for.

Yep, although they would never actually live anywhere else.

I don't necessarily agree that Republicans are stupid, but Republican leadership, particularly in the senate, is ideologically a bunch of cowards .

Libertarians: weird.

C'mon!

Like you didn't see that one guy they nominated for the U.S. Senate who intentionally turned his face blue?(!)

Seriously, I like Ron Paul-when he's acting relatively sane-but some of those guys seem like they just walked out of a scene from Willey Wonka And The Chocolate Factory.

A lot of what the libertarians say makes sense but a lot of it simply does not - like "open borders", no drug laws, etc.

What is needed is a restructuring of the Republican Party on the National and State Level or the contructing of a party which better represents those principles the Republicans allege to support.

bunch of cowards .

It does provide the very grist for the conspiracy types who see it as a 'one-party' system, and the GOP complicit in that very attack on American values though inaction and omission, and general irresponsibility.

Because people SAY, the GOP cannot be so singular stupid that they would be led around by the nosering by the NYC press, media, and Hollywood crowd. Real people aren't that stupid. So GOP politicos in DC can't be that stupid.

Right? . . . . right?

The turning of his face blue was not intentional. But it was funny.

WHY is it that the Republicans, when they controlled Congress under Clinton, approved such socio-philosophical abortions like Bader-Ginsberg?

96-3, BTW.

THREE Republilcans only voted against the most left-wing activist ever nominated for any position of trust under the United States IN OUR ENTIRE HISTORY.

THREE.

Not sure if I would call them stupid either, but their collective spines seem to have the consistency of a wet noodle. It does seem the pubbies are more interested in coalition-building with democratic counterparts who would never do the same in return. It may make you feel good, but accomplishes nothing.

I think they ARE that inept, also stupid, and cowardly. They are more afraid of the heat from the media than they are dedicated to making a difference in office. They are more concerned with keeping their elected seats and its percs and salary and retirement benefits than they are willing to risk them by speaking out on what they KNOW is right.

Not nearly as appalling as the fact that a Republican president NOMINATED the justice that votes with Ginsberg more than any other justice on the Court votes with any other justice.

I stand by my statement. Interpret it any way you wish. They are cowards. They are afraid of the RATs. They are afraid of the press. They are afraid of their constituents. They are afraid of what's in their FBI files. There are a few exceptions (McConnell) but not enough to make a difference.

Given a choice between evil and smart or good and stupid, I'll choose good and stupid every time.

I would even go so far as to say that it is not possible for a party to be good and smart. If a party is good and smart, it will completely destroy the rival party and assume absolute power. Given absolute power, it is only a matter of time before it becomes evil and smart and all-powerful as well.

The Stupid Party... Wear the badge with pride...

The "Two-Party Cartel". Pubbie pols aren't stupid. They know the game. The public is stupid for putting up with them. Mostly all in both factions are owned by the elites. Only when we vote BOTH out will we get freedom back. How do the pres & v/p relate to us? How much money are the 4 of them worth?

"Personally, I'm tired of this "take the high road" garbage. I figuratively want to see Democratic blood, I want the party of opposition to these thugs to pull out all those stops possibly conceivably to them to go for the Democratic throat and not stop until it has been throttled."

I'VE SAID MANY OF THESE SAME THINGS MYSELF. DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE GOP OPERATIVE IN THE '80s WHO IS THE ONLY PERSON THE PUBBIES HAVE EVER HAD WHO CAME CLOSE TO BEING A JAMES CARVILLE. HE WAS RUTHLESS BUT HE WAS A "WINNER". SAD TO SAY, HE DIED AT A YOUNG AGE WITH A BRAIN TUMOR I BELIEVE. I CAN'T REMEMBER HIS NAME. CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT ON THIS?

ANYHOW, WE NEED THE GOP VERSION OF JAMES CARVILLE. WHAT'S THE OLD ADAGE: "NICE GUYS FINISH LAST".
