Please don't take it as a short course in Civil War history. It was as accurate as I could make it, but I got a bit over my head in a couple areas.
Civil War history can be very addictive. I've read many books and visited many battlegrounds, but I'm only a novice compared to many of the people out there.
There is a discussion group on UseNet which I read from time to time. It is amazing the passions that can get aroused on even the smallest details. If the participants were meeting in person, I have no doubt that fists would be flying and guns would be drawn within about 15 minutes. It probably wouldn't take that long.
If you get a chance, visit a battleground. Take a guided tour.
You don't know women very well, or you'd know that despite their claims of 'liberation' when it comes to sex, women need an emotional commitment.
If you do know women well enough to know that, then it would seem that you are in denial when it comes to your own character, since you argue for not 'denying sex' to emotionally unstable women.
Either way, it's not a good thing, buddy.
Now that you haven't, you may expect a major hit during the next few days. It will take me a while write it. I've been mentally drafting, but it needs more work.
If I'm smart, I will never send it.
The short version is that you had better be very careful. I don't want that other girl, but I do want you.
If there were a coral snake in my woodpile, I'd think I would be in more danger.
Christians who accepted the word of Christ could not in good conscience hold their fellow men in a system of tyranny without being hypocrits. Lovers of Freedom and promoters of Liberty cannot deny those God-given conditions to their fellow men without being hypocrits.
Those who participated in the RAT Rebellion attempting to destroy the Union and preserve that system of terror and oppression are deeply flawed men not heroes. They were Traitors if the word has any meaning.
