Combinations and permutations. I use that phrase on occasion, even on this board, although the rigorous math context has become rather largely attenuated. Now it just comes trippingly off the tongue, and is sometimes used in legal briefs, when I think the judge has some modicum of literary and intelligence.

Combinations and permutations count the same thing except that permutations also count orderings.
