Mansoor Ijazz is the head of an investment company,with assets of (last I looked) about 3/4 BILLION dollars (US).
His father was a nuclear physicist in Pakistan,who did some work on power plants,then came to US-supposedly so he would not have to work on atom bombs.
Father then went into real estate,MAY have had access to some of that "Arab Charity" money.
Mansoor went to school here-I believe in Virginia.He too was into nuclear physics-but he dropped out short of a doctorate when his father got sick.He then came home and ran the family business for a while before going into brokerage.
Fox News uses him as a consultant sometimes,and, every so often,he'll appear on Fox with a "the sky is falling !" story-which is almost always false,but which probably gives him a chance to scare the hell out of some segment of the overseas market,and reap a nifty profit.
Clinton used him as an "unofficial ambassador" at times-and got a wagonload of campaign money from Ijazz and his friends-but does not seem to have entirely trusted him.
Thanks for the info there...I knew stuff about him but not the entire history...finding out Charlie Danniels supports Democrats was a bit of a shock as well today.
