Well if your soul consists of your mind, will and emotions, then it seems when you are concieved, you have the complete package. Doesn't a fetus feel pain?
I do not know when a fetus feels pain, do you?
Mind, will and emotion may all be within your soul, but they may manifest in stages, with will (will to live) showing up first in the newly conceieved as the embryo differentiates its earliest cells for building his or her placental organ for survival (the will to live), then emotion gets added as the fetal body is constructed, then mind gets added as the more refined organ called brain gets added and takes up to a year or two following birth to fully manifest in the physical universe of our perceptions. Of course, for a Christian, the soul exists outside of time's constraints thus was and is and will be ... we just believe Christ settled the destiny of where/when the timeless soul will exist following manifestation in the physical realm. Angels, well they appear and disappear, so their reality is anybody's guess.
