Actually, it's pretty common for dairy farms to grow pretty large acreages of corn for feed. My sister used to farm about 300 acres in the northeast; of which about 120 acres was tilled, in corn. Notwithstanding that, Kerry is still an idiot... As is Shrub of course. sigh...what's a citizen concerned with liberty to do ? Vote for Baradnik, is what I'm going to do... After Shrub and the Rep. party stabbed us in the back on personal weapons, plus slammed through that horrific patriot act, plus now patriot-2, plus CARA, plus... I will never vote Republocrat again. Nor Demopublican of course. Best thing that can happen is if only TEN percent of eligibles vote this time. That way, at least the freakin' totalitarians can't claim any "mandate" for crushing us further. Or, as a reasonable alternative, go ahead and vote, but do NOT vote for EITHER of the two interchangeable totalitarian parties. Vote for Baradnik instead. Nothing to lose (since reps/dems are 2 sides of same coin), and everything to gain...

Have to admit I thought the same, but since my dad was over to the house I asked him (he taught agriculture at the college level for years, managed the school farm). He can't stand Kerry but admitted that a lot of dairy farms grew their own feed. Not sure how common that would be in Massachusetts because of the cost of land there, but nonetheless... apparently not one we can nail him on.
