Brando has frequently warned that Israel was a conspiratorial and invisible enemy of the United States .

Interviewed by CNN’s Larry King in April 1996, Brando said Hollywood was run and owned by Jews.

"We never see the mockey Jew on TV or in the movies," he told King. "It [ Hollywood ] is owned by the Jews they should have a greater sensitivity about the issue of people who are suffering."

The Jewish lobby has launched a ferocious campaign at the legend actor and, of course, accused him of being anti-Semitic.

I am not aware that Brando was anti-Israel other than this one stupid anti-Semitic statement that he apologized for. Referring to "mockey Jews" is Al-Jazeera's idea of anti-zionism.

The 1930s-50s, when Jewish producers really did "own" Hollywood, were the golden age of American Film. That's when movies portrayed real American values with wholesome and attractive stars and a conservative agenda. Back then Hollywood was something to be proud of, now we have Hollywierd.

There have been allusions to Brando making similar statements in less public forums, mostly found on Islamic or White Supremecist sites and publications, most notably in Kevin MacDonalds deposition in support of David Irving, for whatever that's worth. Personally, I don't recall Brando making political statements much at all, I think it's a non-event, though I'm sure Al Jezerra is glad to spread his "opinion".

There wasn't much Brando was for....maybe drugs, boose and women or maybe a good part in the bigtime movie for which he demanded a lot of money. He had a God given talent for acting which he used up in a hurry and squanded away most of it the rest of his life. His private life was a disaster and he left messes everywhere he went because he thought responsibility was for others, not himself. He was BRANDO and apparently believed his press notices. That kind of arrogance gets you a fast reputation for being difficult, which he was.

I am not aware that Marlon Brando was anti-Israel or anti-Semitic. He did state, with a great deal of accuracy, that Hollywood is owned and operated by Jews. Unfortunately, they are liberal Jews more than the Michael Medved variety. Jews invented Hollywood in the early days of film and have controlled the industry ever since, so what? Jews also control the Diamond markets of New York, and that fact alone does not make the observer anti-Semitic.

Just for the record, I am a staunch supporter of Israel and have great respect for Judaism.

Ironically, after apologizing, immediately, and not disputed as sincerely that I've see, he was quoted by Rabbi Heir at the Weisenthal Center as saying He said that from a cultural perspective, he considers himself a Jew. .

These things do develop a life of their own in the more distasteful segments of society, and to Al Jezerra it's his epitaph.

I'm not sure that declaring that Jews run Hollywood means one is a Stormfront diehard.

I think Jews (JINOs mainly) are the predominate but not exclusive force in Hollywood and the NYC-Wash DC media as well and I am sure no skinhead rather your typical Southern protestant broken glass Israel supporter and not for apocalyptic providential reasons either.

It's simply a fact about Jewish (liberal mostly) influence in entertainment and media and it has occured because of a myriad of reasons some of which are purely geographical chance and none by conspiracy or protocols..lol

However, Brando did have some eccentric political views....what was her name? Sasheen Littlefeather or something....anyone remember?

From looking at this comment and others posted later in the thread, then reading about how he tearfully and remorsefully apologized a week later or whatever, the first thing that comes to my mind is to wonder what he was on. Those aren't the actions of a logical person IMO.

One could make the comment that Jews run all kinds of businesses: computers (Dell, Cisco, Oracle, Intel, Dell, eBay, and even the head honcho at Microsoft), fashion, newspapers, TV, and there a huge number at the very top of the medical and legal professions and on Wall Street. Hell, arguably the most powerful man in America if not the world, Alan Greenspan, is a Jew.

The problem is that anti-Semites typically turn Jewish contribution to society into Jewish control. Indeed, the whole concept of Jewish ownership is frequently associated with some kind of nefarious Jewish plot to favor Jews at the expense of their non-Jewish brethren. The reality is, of course, somewhere else entirely. Thus, the Jewish New York Times is rabidly anti-Israel, wheareas the non-Jewish Wall Street Journal is very pro-Israel. Again, 25% of all large charitable donations may be made by Jews, but virually none of it is given to Jewish or Israeli charities. And certainly the movie industry is utterly ruthless, where participants are as likely to slit each other's throats as co-operate in some sort of conspiracy; nor do the movies they produce reflect one kind of mind-set (put two Jews in a room and you'll have three viewpoints); and, in any event, movies are made to make money and cannot depart too far from the tastes of their audience.

Another point that is frequently forgotten is that while an individual might run a business the real power invariably lies elsewhere. Nowhere is that more true than in old Hollywood where, for the most part the owners of the studio had little real power, which resided on the then very WASP Wall Street, and with the big banks controlled almost exclusively by gentiles.

To those who have remarked that Jews "run" Hollywood, and there's no harm in saying that, I would, in principle, agree. However, I've very rarely heard of someone talking about Hollywood being run by Jews without a sub-text of anti-Semitism.

Nobody dances around factual generalizations regarding my own demographic and I'm quite comfortable pointing out obvious truths when I se them.

But I made a point of saying that this disproportionate Jewish influence or ownership is not a cabal or conspiracy...it has simply happened over the past 100 years due mostly to geographics and later some patronage perhaps.

Back then, there were a whole heck of a lot more Republicans in Hollywood than now, including an number of the most powerful studio bosses.
