Hubby woke at about 5:30 this morning to the tune of our weather watch and pulled the truck into the garage and the boat into the yard and, god bless him, plugged in the coffee about 10 minutes before we got blasted with straight line winds and a power outage.
I was living in Dover, DE then...........I sure do remember that.........but I think the February blizzard last year was even worse.
I was in Ok last winter, we had three blowers not snowers all winter. I am so pleased that you got to beat it out of Delaware.
How are the birthday plans going?
The blizzard was right before we left Delaware........but it's amazing what a difference 100 miles make....in Dover we had 33 inches, down here they only had 3. Flooding and hurricane Isabel were the only things that closed school here this winter.....snow only delayed school openning one more.
Party plans are all taken care of, invitations will be going in the mail on Tuesday. She did her first sleepover at a friend's last night, and is having her first sleepover with a friend here tonight......they are finally asleep, which means now I can go do the same!!!!
We have been sleep-over central since school let out in May. I love it, but hate cooking all the meals for teen son and ravinous friends.
24 biscuits? Gone. Is there any more gravy? Argggghhhhh!
Is this damage in relation to, a part of, or preceeded or succeeded in part or total of, the Kerry Campaign Bus Tour??
***I'm not complaining, it is just so unusual that it is unsettling. We just got our power back (again) after three hours***
Ask any of the older locals about the March,16,1968 snow.
I was lucky enough to be in California on that date.
Today was 105. 5 day forcast no longer includes any two digit highs. Sigh.
Summer - the real one - is here. And that is why they invented A/C and swimming pools!

We used to go up to Dillon when I was stationed at Hill AFB, UT. Clark Canyon Res, Ruby Res, Madison River, etc.
Great fishing. Great people. Great scenery.

Worst I ever remember seeing in the ten years I was stationed there was 105 degrees at 11:00 PM one August night.
