Kerry's been polling daily, plus begging Clintons and flunkies for advice and counsel. So far, nobody's managed to give him the best advice which is to stop the incessant lies and 'nuances'

Asking the Clintons for advice on how not to incessantly lie, isn't that a little like getting diet advice from Michael Moore?

I think it is between Edwards and Gephart. Who Kerry picks will say a lot about how he feels about the state of his campaign.

If he picks Gephart, he probably thinks he will win the election and wants someone who can help him govern. Eight years is a long time to work with someone and you want someone you get along with. If he thinks he has a good probability to win he is thinking about the long term.

If Kerry picks Edwards that means he is not very confident about his chances of winning and realizes he needs a good campaigner - some one to rev up his base. An Edwards pick is a short-term (do anything to get into the white house) decision.

I will be waiting with baited breath to see who he picks.
