To: inquest

It was necessary to enforce by law the central premise of the American Founding: the proposition all men are created equal. The country was changed for the better and America is the stronger for it today.

Whatever purpose it might have served at the time, it has long outlived its usefulness. No employer in his right mind would turn down a qualified applicant because of race. All this law accomplishes anymore is a thriving grievance industry which has been progressively weakening this country. In fact, it wouldn't be much of an exaggeration to say that it was responsible for 9/11.

And that's on top of the fact that the law has no constitutional basis.
