TACOMA -- The Homeland Security Department says a Washington refinery may have come under surveillance by terrorists.
The department sent a bulletin to law enforcement and oil company officials saying a person in a kayak videotaped the refinery and that security personnel there had a suspicious encounter last year with a diver.
The department said Al-Qaida views oil and gas businesses as targets because of potentially significant economic, helth, safety and psychological impacts.
Washington state officials say they have no information about surveillance at refineries and that such bulletins from the Department of Homeland Security are routine.
A lot of antennas? - Sounds like VHF, CB, Radar, and any other gadget they come up with for fishermen and pleasure boaters. Dads are hard to buy gifts for, they end up with all of them.
"Were the kayaker and diver ragheads?"
Electric cars or camels?
Last year? Last year? It's a little late to be sending out bulletins out now.
All they do is deport those caught [that are illegal] doing this anyhow [or let them go completely] so they can come back in and try again.
Must not be any big deal to our government. Move along...nothing to see here..
Well, I'm leaving the state for the rest of July next week. If the terrorists are going to do something, do it while I'm gone. (Gee, that sounds hardhearted but I'm looking for some down time on the beach soaking up some rays.)
