What terrifies me is when we go Red...
Hey Heartlander! Welcome to TM!
loved Doris Day as Calamity Jane

Today he's in Lancaster, tonight in York!
you are going to see alot of incidents like this around NYC during the convention - the moveon.org people and other protest elements will be leaving "packages" all over the place.
I do not savor the possibility of an attack, especially one using small nukes or other WMD. However, if we are I expect that we as a country will respond as we did on 911, with unity an purpose because our enemy will be clearly defined again (and not by hollywood/leftist drivel). We are not like the europeans and AQ better not misjudge us on that point. I'll clean the guns, check supplies and fuel the van, while otherwise going about my normal routine.
Is he IS or is he AIN'T?

Good read but long...highlights follow
We never wondered what those clerics and scholars were debating for hours on end.
Maybe we should have.
The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), founded in 1998, monitors Saudi government television channels.
MEMRI reports the constant theme of Saudi television shows calls for the annihilation of Christians and Jews.
It's a good thing the Saudis are described by State Department officials as our strong allies in the Gulf. We wonder what Prince Bandar bin Sultan would think if our prime-time programming was as biased as what's being aired in his kingdom?
Here's what MEMRI translated Sheik Abdallah Al-Muslih, chairman of the Commission on Scientific Signs in the Koran and Sunnah of the Muslin World League, said about suicide bombers.
"Regarding a person who blows himself up, I know this issue is under disagreement among modern clerics and jurisprudence. There is nothing wrong with (martyrdom) if they cause great damage to the enemy. But, if we speak of what happens in Muslim countries, such as Saudi Arabia, this is forbidden, brothers. This is the land of the Muslims. We must never do this in a Muslim country."
While we may "pooh-paah" the U.S. government's security warnings, it might not be a bad idea to start taking the threat against us more seriously.
Prominent Saudi professors and preachers have been on Saudi Arabian T.V., predicting the U.S. will collapse ... and Islam will take over America.
Supporting jihad, or holy war, against U.S. troops in Iraq is a topic of many Saudi T.V. programs, according to MEMRI.
Dr. Yassin Al-Khatib, a professor of Islamic law at Um Al-Quara University, on May 10 was a guest of Al-Majd T.V. in the United Arab Emirates, a nearby neighbor of Saudi Arabia and also a U.S. ally.
He said, "The honor, blood, property and mostly the fact that they entered (Iraq) make it every Muslim's duty to go out against them, not only the Iraqis. This is every Muslim's duty. Jihad today has become an individual duty that applies to each and every Muslim."
Al-Khatib even predicted the collapse of America. He said, "When the Muslims fought in Afghanistan, they destroyed the Soviet Union, which was a superpower. It collapsed, and Allah willing, so will the (United States)."

That, and it costs 1,000,000,000 per day at the higher risk level.
I'd look at what was mentioned earlier for that earlier in the thread.
As to what you've just pointed out, remember that the full moon is on the 31st of July.
If she needs a place to stay, we can always make more room here. As lond as she doesn't mind dogs & cats & kids.
Have you seen the glass enclosed seats on the "Monster Bridge" over the track at Dover where the cars pass right under you?
The seats vibrate as the cars pass under the bridge from the power of the engines. I'm hoping someday somehow to try one of those out!!
Although you can also stand by the fence in the front stretch and let them blow past you, yes it takes your breath away.
I saw Mercy on another thread today. ;-)
