I think we'll take all four -- FL/GA/SC/NC. IL and CO are looking sketchy, and we don't know who our nominees will be; LA is its own bizarre world. Coburn will probably go all the way in OK, and Lisa hang on in AK. Which leaves us hoping for Thune, Nethercutt, probably Russ Darrow, and Bill Jones.
I've given up on Illinois. Better we spend that money in Wisconsin and make it competitive.
What annoys me, to no end, is that Dorgan can appear in Moore documentaries and still get elected in ND.
We'll need to get 51% on election day b/c pubbies have had some trouble in the runoffs.

I'm with you. I think Burr will pull through in NC, and though an Isakson win in GA would make me, eh, lukewarm.

Unless we get a superstar off the bench in IL, it's not going to happen. And I remain firmly convinced that despite Schaffer's conservatism and principle, he would lose. Coors wouldn't do too much better either. Only way Schaffer will win is if Bush has big coattails.
LA is its own bizarre world.
Agree 110%. I'm not even prepared to look at that race until the inevitable runoff.

Agree. Coburn is a great candidate and Lisa will benefit from BIG coattails in Alaska.
Which leaves us hoping for Thune, Nethercutt, probably Russ Darrow, and Bill Jones.
If Thune is willing to actually fight this time, he can win. Nethercutt COULD make a good race. Darrow & Jones need to do a better job convincing me that they can win.
I'm a little more concerned about North Carolina now that Edwards is on the ticket.
I'm not convinced that Edwards will have enough pull to put NC in the Dem column...but he may have enough pull to put Erskine Bowles in the Senate.
About the last thing I want to see is another Clintonista sitting in Congress!
