HOLY FLURKING SCHNITT!

Of course I would prefer to hear Hannity LIVE in his regular timeslot of 3 to 6 PM EDT. Perhaps this won't be too far off since it sounds like Schnitt is having a snit with the WIOD management. This might be management's warning to Schnitt. Hannity's show is in a whole other league than Schnitt. Schnitt does a 4 hour broadcast out of Tampa in the morning and then does ANOTHER 3 hours here in South Florida from 3 to 6 PM. The result is that Schnitt sounds burned out on the air in the afternoon. Maybe he does a brilliant morning show but I can tell you that his afternoon show is TERRIBLE. It sounds more like filibustering than informative talk. Basically Schnitt is just pulling stuff off the top of his head to fill in airtime. Yeah, he tries to project fake energy but it just doesn't work.
I don't know what went thru the mind of the WIOD management when they hired Schnitt. Maybe they thought they could get publicity by goofing off his name. Broward County is swamped with "Schnitt Happens!" billboards. Okay, so once you get past that goofing on the name, what have you REALLY got? Nothing much.
Hopefully Hannity appearing in the evening is just a prelude to REPLACING Schnitt in the afternoons. Oh, and while they are at it, WIOD Radio could do us a favor by ditching Glenn Beck and replacing him with the HIGHLY ENTERTAINING Laura Ingraham in the morning. Glenn Beck is guilty of heavy duty OVERACTING. It is like listening to a modified Greaseman show. Laura Ingraham talks in a NORMAL voice and is extremely good at what she does.
In the meantime, I am happy to be hearing Hannity again.

Having said that, I miss Hannity, as much as he is not my favorite either. When 1400 took him off the air a few months ago, I had no alternative to Schnitt. I'll gladly listen to Hannity in his new hour, but I too would prefer it at his regular slot.
P.S. thanks for turning me on to the Steve Kane show, that show, too, has a different way of handling liberals (utter humiliation) that I sometimes appreciate.

I just lost him on a local station, WHMP, in the heart of the extremist liberal Amherst/Northampton MA area for O'reilly from 12-2pm, and, God help us all, the O'Franken factoid after that! Sean is gone from the lineup!

Well stated, and spot on. Hannity would be perfect in the 3-6pm slot. HNI why this hasn't been done before (think $$$).
Love Phil Hendry, but starting his show at 6pm seems early for his content. Preferred when it started at 7pm.
What was the name of that slurping, gasping, adenoidal, arrogant, obnoxious, overbearing, conservative who appeared on 1400 back in its glory days, Rick somethig or other? They had Steve Kane and the gay guy who went out to San Diego.
The station has a broadcast radius of about four city blocks but it produced some of the rawist, greatest, conservative talk radio I ever enjoyed listening to.
Hey, have you heard any details on the Steve Kane show cutting back? I mean, they're ending the show at 9:00AM now on certain days. I don't know the details. I imagine that it's something to do with Steve, but I'm not sure. Brian does a great job but Steve seems like the "big foot" that comes down on the morning nut-jobs who call in.
I think Brian could carry the show, I'd listen. I just wonder what's going on?
WIOD is also pushing Phil Hendrie to 10pm live from LA. Which cuts out the Coast to Coast repeats (of the previous day) that used to fill the 10PM -1AM slot
Schnitt doesn't so much do a talk show as FILIBUSTER for 3 hours. Listening to him one gets the sense that he is just trying to fill his last 3 hour broadcast with noise and just collect his paycheck and go home. I don't know how ANYBODY can listen to him. He is just flat out BORING. I would even prefer an INTERESTING liberal radio talk show host. Jack Cole was one such an example. I disagreed with him most of the time but his saving grace was that his show was interesting. Unfortunately, Cole dropped dead a couple of years ago.
I'm not much into that whole Phil Hendrie thing. And I usually don't listen to radio at night. HOWEVER, I will make an exception when Hannity comes on board next week. Better yet is if WIOD DUMPS Schnitt and we can hear Hannity in his normal time slot live. Then if WIOD replaces that overactor, Glenn Beck, with Laura Ingraham in the morning, I can have a FULL 12 hour day of GREAT radio.

Jack Cole was a pretty honest liberal, and he LOATHED Clinton. He is missed. Drive time is when I mostly get to listen, so the Steve Kane show and Schnitt will have to do for me. I might have to invest in satellite radio...

I live in schnitt's vicinity. We get Hannity on 1040 am and schnitt's on 970 wfla radio as is Glenn Beck. I don't have any idea what's going on. Maybe it's less syndication for schnitt.
One can only hope. Right now I am listening to Sean Hannity on WIOD and it is GREAT! You get the feeling that here is someone who does his homework and is willing to DIG into the facts. This is in strong contrast to the incredibly boring Schnitt who sounds like he is just winging it in the hope of making it thru his 3 hours in the afternoon. WIOD should follow thru on this by placing Hannity in Schnitt's 3-6 PM slot. Schnitt doesn't deserve the late afternoon drivetime slot.
On the upside, WIOD now has Hannity. On the DOWNSIDE it is in the 7-10 PM timeslot and yesterday it was pre-empted by a Marlins game. Hey WIOD!!! How stupid are you? You get a TOP SHOW on your station and you schedule it in a crappy timeslot. Why not schedule Schnitt in the 7-10 PM timeslot and allow Hannity to broadcast LIVE from 3-6 PM? That way if you broadcast a Marlins game at night it is no great loss since it only knocks Schnitt out. Schnitt is burned out by the time he does his afternoon broadcast. Plus, compared to Hannity, he has FEW facts at his command. Schnitt's show is all about sophomoric attitudes. Not only that I keep getting assaulted by those annoying "Schnitt Happens!" billboards all over Broward County. Face the fact, WIOD, it is a catchy gimmick but when you actually tune in to Schnitt there is NOTHING there.
