The "hardcore liberals" are already energized --- by their hatred of Bush. They'd vote for Saddam. Hillary! doesn't buy Kerry one additional vote from this group of lunatics.

Here's the thing: The hardcore liberals are already energized because they hate Bush. I think the choice of Hillary will energize those slightly left of center, but at the same time will energize everyone on the right. In the center, I think it will push women to Kerry and men to Bush.
