BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraqi guerrillas holding two Turkish hostages said in video footage given to Reuters on Friday that the captives were being released after promising to stop working for U.S. forces in Iraq.

How can they be sure they are even Iraqi's?

Reuters, etc. do that routinely. I suspect part of the motive is to be able to report from behind the lines without getting decapitated.

We hadn't even heard about these hostages, had we? These are separate from the three Turks that were shown in the videos last week, right?
Sheesh, how many more hostages are there that we don't even know about?? I'm guessing quite a few.
