Even it the inscription would have mentioned God, this was a ridiculous move. We are at the point where we promoting homosexuality on the streets and forcing the Bible into the closet. It is so unbelievably back-wards.

Pinging before this gets buried in the negative diatribe of the election grind . .
Good things still happen if you fight for the right and don't stop until they do - ping.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Army has reversed itself and will continue to help a nonprofit group distribute honorary medallions that cite a Bible verse. Fallen Friend, which since 1995 has distributed nearly 2,000 medallions to survivors of those killed in the line of duty, had been told by the Army in May that it could no longer help forward the medallions because the inscription "John 15:13" was inappropriate and might offend some families.

I totally agree, but who was offended in this case? Or was this a pre-emptive move by the Army (that they changed back)?

Is it so difficult for some people to just simply refuse something that "offends" them?

I don't think we've heard why the Army had taken this stand--a decision by someone in the Army or the result of pressure from the ACLU or some similar organization? I hope the busybodies don't discover that there is a Biblical verse on the Liberty Bell (Leviticus 25:10).
