Howard Stern is not really anti-America, especially when compared to Michael Moore. He just has a vendetta with the FCC and the Bush administration for the fines levied on his network for his show's alleged obscenity.

Actually, he was bodysnatched and started sounding like it, along with Robyn, around the time Limbaugh went into rehab. Then, almost like he was possessed, he started shoehorning in jabs against Rush that sounded really forced. Then, he devolved into the talking point turd he is now.

That may be, but I wonder how long it'll take Howie to get in trouble with the FCC again. Maybe this is just a not well thought out move for publicity by the station management, though they'll get the high ratings for his program.

Howard Stern is a friggin' idiot who only knows how to appeal to the worst in all of us. He may be funny but he isn't right.

...alleged obscenity..
I'd call airing "does a black woman smell like watermelon" obscenity. Guess I'm just one of those overzealous conservatives.

I just finished Dean Koontz's latest novel titled
The Taking. Extremely good! Basically, the book deals with a one day invasion and take over of the planet by Satan and his forces. The novel mixes science with the supernatural as Koontz makes the argument that either is interchangable and indistinguishable from one another. And why does this taking occur? Koontz believes the same reason God caused the flooding of the Earth, Sodom and Gomorrah - because we as humans have become too tolerant. Too tolerant of murder and other crimes against us.
We allow people like Stern to become hero's with a movie made about his life. Where is the movie about Walt Disney? We protest against a movie portraying the last hours of Jesus and yet promote movies and "music videos" that promote violence against women. It is a strange world and one I am becoming increasingly uncomfortable with.
People on the forum like Stern. I thought he was funny at one time. I now miss the Bob Hopes, George Burns, Jack Benny's, Steve Allens, et al. It may sound elitist, but I consider myself above Stern and I like to think that this forum is above Stern. I have become intolerant of him and it would be a better place in the United States if more thought the same and turned him off. Just my opinion.
