That's exactly right. Agree or disagree Mr. Lunchpail, "From each according to his ability to each according to his needs." Heck, most recent grads probably think this comes directly from the US Constitution.

I can attest personally the mind of recent grads. My oldest a recent grad, has not one clue how much of his first paycheck he will never see, seems to believe that raising the price of "gas" could be use as a method to force "oil" companies to research alternative fuels and force auto manufactures to make energy efficient vehicles.

Fortunately for him we were in a restaurant and I was required to contain myself. I then had the opportunity to calm myself so I could approach the topic with a calm still voice.

The irony is that this "child" loves cars, and plans to spend every possible dollar he makes on them, and if paying a higher price at the pump will force these two things then all the better.

I call it arrogance, elitist, and just plain ignorance. Considering how much his friends complain about the control their parents "execute" over them.

That is exactly how I approached him with my conversation about his problem solving.
