Aqua, I read the book several years ago - right about the time that my Aunt started showing extreme signs of Alzheimers.

It touched my heart for other reasons also. It took two boxes of kleenex to get through it!!!!

"Perhaps the stage lights were a bit much for him... "I'll take 'Traitors with a K' for $800, Alex.""

LOL

Obviously, he has been making the circuits of Game Shows in overdrive.
I do believe he won Big Time at The Wheel of Fortune not once, but two times --- snicker, snicker...

Now he is trying to spin our National Wheel, though, and we are definitely going to throw a monkeywrench into the workings....

Have wanted to ask how your aunt is now, dixie.
Is she still in the hospital?

She is back in the hospital. She had been moved to the Rehab center and they don't allow anyone to stay overnight and while there she got up and went to the bathroom and fell again.

The fall resulted in bleeding and a bloodclot and now they are testing for a possible staph infection. This isn't going to be a good year for the family. Another long one I fear.

Thank you for asking and please keep her and the family in your prayers.

Thank you, Miss Aqua, for bringing us another edition of JH2's Two Cents.

Excellent analysis of the situation, JH2 ... you never fail to amaze.

The little note from Condi to the President is so like Dubya and the way he handles a six-gun, or plays poker ... few words, brilliant, and with all the light and gravity of a star ... they are quite a team.

I just love the pic of Tony Blair and President Bush shaking hands over the occasion.

Great and telling pic of the French-looking candidate in your Dear John letter, Miss Lady X ... sez it all.

Even in the light, that clown is in the dark.

Thank you. I had been holding that WTC pic for a while and finally saw what it needed as a pledge (it was so obvious!). Thought today was a fitting time to post it since I believe the events in the opening post are tied into it.

I don't usually cry that easily at the movies except for The Passion where I bawled. This movie brought everyone in the theater to tears at the end (the last few seconds) which made it hard to go into the lobby with tears streaming down.

My mom had also read the book before seeing the movie but she's on up in age now and couldn't remember what she had read. I recommend you go see this one.

What a trial she has been through - and all of her family.
You and she have been strongly on my mind the past several days, and why I inquired.

God will surely bless all of you for so faithfully caring for her.
My ongoing prayers will continue.

In that picture James Garner is reading the story from The Notebook to her. The movie jumps in and out of that scene showing the story being played out in South Carolina during the 1940's. It's a love story.
