My impression of this woman is she is so rich that she considers herself too important to pay too much attention to this election. I believe she thinks she can buy the election through her foundation. But mostly it's beneath her notice.

Yep. And that's the reason I believe she is insincere about her former husbands fate, though I may be wrong, but I don't think so. It's an act to garner sympathy even though it is pathetic, IMHO. But that's just me.....

"And I thought Kerry was living in the past - wow! She still considers herself married to a dead man."

Everytime we'd visit my ex-mother-in-law, she'd end up getting drunk and crying over her first husband who had been killed in WWII. I'm sure he was the love of her life, but I can't imagine how her second husband felt sitting there hearing all of this.

I agree with you. Her comments were in response to reports about her wealth and her use of it to promote her new husband's campaign, possibly illegally.
It's dishonest and anyone who thinks she meant this comment as sincere mourning is a naif.

But I am a cynic and I may be wrong.

I think Heinz is looking down on the whole earthly fiasco of us mortals and laughing his arse off!

"Wonder what John Heinz is thinking, Kerry has his wife, sleeping in his bed and homes, spending his money......."

I found it interesting when Kerry bad-mouthed the National Guard, especially in light of the fact that John Heinz was a member of the Guard during the '60's. In a way, when Kerry attacked President Bush's Guard service, he inadvertently attacked her husband's service as well. Makes you wonder if she even realized it at the time.

Teresa Kerry will say anything to advance her to the door of the White House. She told us recently why she bacame a democrat, so silly, it is not worth repeating. Citing the way the GOP treated the GA Senator that lost his limbs in battle. While I think he is a hero, that is beside the point. She just created a reason to help her a few steps ahead, didn't work. I was reminded of the fact that she grops along with Ted Kennedy, one of the most liberal democrat. Someone should remind Mrs. Kerry, Mary Jo Kopechne would have been 65 this year. And she was turned against the GOP....come on Mrs. Kerry. You and your husband are in bed with Ted Kennedy.

I can't wait for the American public to get a real handle on Theresa. She is nuts.

That's probably the most honest statement she has made in years. Who'd want to be married to the cartoon figure - John Kerry. He married her for her money and she knows it.

Kerry's "secret weapon" is his wifes endless $$$$$$.

Funny how the Republican, forget his name married to the actress, had his SEALED divorce papers revealed with the help of a judge. Yet, John Kerry, the first potential divorced Presidential candidate, will NOT allow it and NO judge is helping anyone UNSEAL them.

Do I smell partisan journalists?

"They" were concerned about the Heinz loose cannon and for a while, she said what she needed to in order to further her pet poodle. But I don't think this was supposed to be in her script. I had read an interview before that there is a large portrait of the deceased displayed prominently in one of their houses and that she still refers to him as "my husband". He must have winced at that and this had to be a body blow. Widows who feel this way and has a husband running for President would not say it in public.

She assuredly isn't interested in perpetuating her late husband's life through the politics and issues he and his Party have supported, Rather, she has made a union with those who want to destroy them. I wonder what the couples' (Heinz) children think about all her words and actions...one of the sons might even be a Hamlet figure.

Jean, you are not a cynic. You are a very, very healthy skeptic.

She's not even a human being anymore. She's a botoxxed, well-maintained RELIC of a gold-digging, billionaire traitor with the gall to endorse an ideology of communism and class warfare.

People need to lay off her on this. She really did love Heinz, there is no question of that.
