ARLINGTON, VA Former U.S. Treasurer Rosario Marín issued the following statement regarding John Kerrys remarks to the National Council of La Raza convention in Phoenix, AZ:
"While President Bush has delivered on education reform, prescription drug coverage under Medicare, and tax incentives for Latino small business owners, John Kerry has a 19-year record of consistently standing on the wrong side of issues important to the Latino community. Kerry voted against the President's historic tax relief that has contributed to the drop in the Hispanic unemployment rate to 7% in May, which is below the 9.6% rate it reached in 1996 when Bill Clinton sought reelection.
"John Kerry's record and votes do not reflect the hopes and values of the Latino community. Kerry has turned his back on the No Child Left Behind Act, which contains an historic 52% increase in funding levels for Title I since 2001. Kerry missed 36 out of 38 votes, including final passage, on Medicare reform and the prescription drug benefit. Kerry opposed the creation of Health Savings Accounts, which allow Latinos to save money free of tax for medical expenses. In fact, Kerry has supported higher taxes 350 times, including taxes on Hispanic small businesses and gasoline. But he will address none of these issues. He will paint a grim picture of the national economy and the strength of our country. Latinos know better. They understand that Kerrys pessimism and misery will not create one single job in the Hispanic community and will not continue moving forward the fastest-growing economy in 20 years."
I guess these are the people albore meant when he referred to brownshirts.....responding with truth to the left's LIES.
Awesome! Kerry's worst nightmare!
Problem is, no one will hear about it or read about it.
That really should be tomorrows headlines in the daily rags. Instead it will be:
"Bush Pulls Vietnam on Escape from Iraq"
Yeah, right.
As if it's comforting to know that Dubya, McCain and the GOP have more credibility with the racist extremists who comprise La Raza.
