Teabag the cat saves owner's life |
A cat called Teabag saved his owner's life when a fire broke out in his Bradford home.
David Simpson was asleep when a suspected arson attack took place on his house.
His three-year-old cat ran upstairs, jumped up and down on his bed and screeched until he woke.
The 56-year-old says Teabag definitely saved his life.
The Telegraph & Argus reports a number of items of property, including a TV, were stolen before the fire started.
He said: "I would have been dead if it wasn't for the cat because I could not have got out of the upstairs bedroom if the fire had been any worse. The cat has saved my life.
"I was fast asleep and the next thing I knew my cat was screaming, jumping up and down, and running up and down the stairs. I know that if she gets up there must be something wrong."
There was a terrible fire in a home. The fire killed the entire family. When rescue workers reached the bedroom of the youngest child, a four-year-old boy, they found his body under the burned body of the family dog. The dog's body, even in death, was stretched out to its maximum possible length, completely covering the little boy.
