Tiffany Schley won the sympathy of most New Yorkers when officials at the High School of Legal Studies in Bushwick overreacted to her withering Graduation Day criticism of the school and refused to give her a diploma. Mayor Bloomberg rightly called it a "bonehead thing to do."
Finding themselves in an unwelcome media spotlight, the educrats quickly retreated and agreed to give the straight-A student and class valedictorian her certificate.
But Tiffany, who's headed to Smith College on a full scholarship, is undoing much of the good will she's accumulated.
She and her mother apparently aren't content with the diploma she earned.
Flanked by always-incendiary City Councilman Charles Barron and two dozen supporters Monday, they demanded that Chancellor Joel Klein hand over the certificate personally and that he do it at a public ceremony to be held at the predictably inflammatory Rev. Herbert Daughtry's Brooklyn church.

Did you feel dirty and disgusting after talking with him on the phone?Annoyed and the feeling my time was being wasted by another flake with issues. When Barron began getting press with his rants, I was glad I didn't do anything for him.
Barron is a joke, however Daughtry is pure evil. I hold more responsible for Crown Heights than Al.

Yes, it is a good thing that you weren't associated with that ass clown, especially after his "slappy" routine.
Why do you think Daughtry is more responsible for Crown Heights than Al Sharpton?

Why do you think Daughtry is more responsible for Crown Heights than Al Sharpton? He had the bigger mouth, and was out there riling everyone up. Also, he's from the neighborhood and was taken more seriously by the rampanging thugs than Al.
Al likely doesn't believe have the crap he spews. Herb believes his every word--a low-rent, skeevy Grand Mufti of Bushwick/Bed-Sty/Crowns.

I had a funny moment while sorting through thirty years of intellectual development. I'm sitting on the couch with five books that reflect that.

Thanks! You're more familiar with the Smith site than I am -- and I should be, given my role in alumnae stuff. :)

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't it Moorestown High School in south Jersey?
To: NYC GOP Chick
If you were to be her mentor we might find your name
here for 2005.
