For all the Michiganders out there, Drew and Mike were discussing an article this morning that stated Iraq is worse off today than they were before the war. They claimed that they had less electricity and less water. I know that this is false, so I tried a search to find the true facts to forward to them. I can't seem to find any summary that clearly disputes their claim.
Do any of you Freepers have a link to an article that I could send these misinformed folks.
BTW, these guys are pretty supportive of GWB, they are just easily fooled by the Liberal media.
Thanks in advance for any help the FR community can provide.
The following is a website that is designed to inform the public of all things happening in Iraq. It lists numerous statistics and success stories.
www.untoldiraq.org
It was on the front page of the Detroit Free Press today.
All you really need to know about the article is that it referred to the left-wing Brookings Institution as "centrist". They're about as "centrist" as Ted Kennedy.
Here's the link:

One can reach the author, the one who thinks Brookings is "centrist", at

I kept my e-mail clean, but I took him to task for the egregious amount of spin. It was an op-ed piece, not journalism.
This one is found at: Defense Briefing Slide
But I'll wager those folks will be infinitely better off as Iraqi sovereignty takes hold and life begins to flourish without Saddam.
I am so sick and tired of all the 'US killing innocent Iraqis' and 'they were better off under Saddam' propaganda. My Vice President has a good answer for those types.
