June 30, 2004 -- REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Scott Peterson once detailed his perfect fantasy murder: Suffocate the victim with a bag and then weigh the body down before tossing it in the ocean, hoping fish would eat off its head and limbs, a cop yesterday testified he was told.
The headless body of Peterson's pregnant wife, Laci, was found washed up on a California shore — with most of her limbs missing — in April 2003, less than six months after her husband reported her missing from their Modesto home. The body of her fetus lay nearby.
A piece of duct tape also was found on Laci's body.
"Scott said he would tie a bag around the neck with duct tape . . . and drop the body with weights in the ocean," Modesto Detective Allen Brocchini said one of Peterson's college pals told him, based on a conversation the friend had with Peterson nine years earlier.
Indeed! Apparently so was/is Shawn Sibley. After all, the boy wasn't talking to himself. I have to wonder about the low esteem some young women seem to hold themselves in.
