Employee recalls sex talk between Peterson and woman at trade show
By Jason Dearen, STAFF WRITER
REDWOOD CITY -- A ribald conversation between Scott Peterson and a woman he had just met at a trade show was so inappropriate it made one of Peterson's employees uneasy, according to the employee's testimony Tuesday in Peterson's double-murder trial. "Scott and (the woman) had a conversation that I believe was somewhat inappropriate for a married man and an engaged woman. There were discussions about sexual positions and what she liked and what he liked," said Eric Olsen, a fertilizer salesman hired by Peterson. Olsen said the steamy conversation occurred at a trade show the two men were attending at the Disneyland Hotel in October 2002. Prosecutors wanted the jury to hear the conversation, because the woman involved was Shawn Sibley, who introduced Peterson to Amber Frey shortly thereafter. Olsen's testimony marked the beginning of the prosecution's groundwork for their star witness, Frey, whom they believe inspired Peterson to murder his pregnant wife. More than a month after the dinner conversation, Sibley called Olsen with a serious question. "She wanted to know if Scott was married. At that point, as an employee of Scott's, I didn't want to be plugged into the situation going on," Olsen said. Shawn stated she wanted to set up Scott with one of her friends. I told her she needed to talk to Scott about this," Olsen said, his eyes darting between prosecutor David Harris and Peterson, who ..........

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. At a fertilizer convention two months before his wife vanished, Scott Peterson led a female colleague to believe he was single and then grilled her about her preferred sexual positions, a former employee and another conventioneer testified Tuesday afternoon.
The men told jurors in Peterson's capital murder trial that his dinnertime discussion with Shawn Sibley, a businesswoman who went on to introduce him to his mistress, became so raunchy that they wolfed down their meals and fled.........

Expert: Judge goofed

The judge in the capital murder trial of Scott Peterson paved another avenue to appeal yesterday by allowing a police officer to testify about an anonymous tip, a legal expert said.
``This alleged conversation between the defendant and an anonymous caller is clearly inadmissible as evidence,'' said J. Albert Johnson, a defense attorney and former prosecutor.
Johnson was referring to Judge Alfred A. Delucchi's decision to allow Detective Allen Brocchini to testify about a man who claimed that Peterson had told him nine years earlier that if he ever killed someone, he would dump the weighted-down corpse in the ocean and let the fish eat it. .......

On Wednesday, June 23, the judge in the Scott Peterson criminal trial removed one of the jurors, Justin Falconer, and called on an alternate to replace him. After Falconer was dismissed, the defense then moved for a mistrial, but its motion was denied.
In this column, I will argue that Falconer should not have been dismissed in the first place. Although Falconer slipped up in making what turned out to be an innocuous comment to a Peterson relative, the comment itself did not indicate bias on his part, and should have been forgivable under the circumstances. .......

2:14 p.m.: REDWOOD CITY -- Stanislaus County Deputy District Attorney Rick Distaso Tuesday morning showed the jury in Scott Petersons double-murder trial that it is easy to leave a mistaken impression.
He asked Modesto Police Detective Al Brocchini about a tip he received from one of Petersons college buddies, who said the defendant in 1995 described how he would dispose of a body.
He said he would tie a bag around the neck with duct tape, put weights on the hands and throw it into the sea, Brocchini said, recalling the phone conversation.........

I had,too...Greta was one of the least objectionable there for awhile...I've watched LKL just twice since the trial began, that I recall....I get more accurate info perusing forums, reading links...
The outside the courtroom reports sometimes have good info, sometimes they leave out a lot...
The TH lawyers are more interested in the defense lawyer tactics or foulups by either side than the actual evidence introduced or testimony it seems.
Shawn Sibley sure got their attention!
Actually there are tens of thousands of people who log onto Free Republic every single day and don't post on these threads.
It's because they aren't interested in them; and they, unlike you, seem to have the ability to click on by threads that don't interest them.
The only ones who do come on these threads and post derrogatory remarks seem to be people like you who may have issues with what other people talk about.
They're like liberals. Always minding somebody else's business.
Actually if you are able to watch TV during the day, the best reporting BY FAR is done by Beth Karas on Court TV.
Woo-hoo!
Glad you dropped by Howlin.
They just cannot help themselves!...LOL!
I just do not get it. I always think they have major issues at home trying to get somebody to pay attention to them!
What's with a guy named Hammer (a prosecutor or ex-prosecutor)? I saw him once sound as muddled as the creepy Cardoza.
I agree, but I do miss it at times...Some creative posters have updated lists they post of what we know, try to be accurate(Buzzm on CTV and a few others...
There are so many banned posters that sign back on, my ignore list gets long...I'm not interested in the nasty comments and pure fantasy. I am beginning to know how to weed through the muck.
A week in review coming up now on CTV.
Gloria Gomez...saying big week for Prosecution..making point that anti Scott lead not considered credible so shows fairness instead of the Geragos constant attack on unfollowed up tips, suspects...
Scott wanted to be able to play the field...Chuck Smith
Gloria...shows he wanted out of the responsibility of marriage.
Trying to convince Scott capable of the murder before discussing rest...GG..Jurors really watching Scott during Shawn Sibley testimony...esp the women>>:)
You know the more I think about this mistrial cr*p, the more I think that it is garbage. I watched Dan Abrams yesterday, and he never mentioned it. I wonder if someone in the defense just fed Greta a line of bull. The only other person who has mentioned it is Nancy Grace, and she may just have heard it from Greta's show.
Any thoughts?

Actually, you seem more like a liberal since you don't like those with opposing views posting their opinions. Have a nice Independence Day. (irony implied)
Actually, what I objected to was you passing judgment on the rest of us.
Nice try though.
Another liberal tactic: the "J" word

As I stated in my original post to you, it appears you have problems when people don't do or say what you think they should. Condescending replies don't change that fact.
And the very fact that you are STILL here on this thread, throwing specious replies, proves it.
If you're not interested in this topic, find something else that interests you and leave us alone. Unless, of course, you get off on judging people, which your next post to me will prove, no doubt.
He thought she had a tumor? ? ?
If you know this little about the case, please have the consideration to read the thread but resist your urge to post.
Stage Is Set For Amber Frey

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- Scott Peterson, on trial for the murder of his pregnant wife, talked incessantly about sex and never mentioned he was married, according to a woman who met him at an agriculture conference and later introduced him to his mistress.

Shawn Sibley testified Wednesday that Peterson told her when they first met that he had "lost" his first love. But most of the conversation that night was about sex.
"We'd be talking about something else and he'd bring up sex," she said. "He did ask me my sexual preferences ... sexual positions ... but he was kind of joking."
Sibley later introduced Peterson to his future girlfriend, massage therapist Amber Frey. .......
Off and running..... Don Pedro...Tahoe is showing cloudy, and chance of thunderstorms all weekend....;o(
Be careful all....
Here's the thing: This guy was on the phone with Amber throughout the search for his missing wife, as if he had not a care in the world. He had already set up he would be out of the country with his family, therefore, reason enough to be unreachable. But no, he is talking to her night and day. Now we hear he has enough foresight to give her a European number that rolls over to his cell? We also here he calls her from the police station?
I don't think it really has anything to do with Amber personally, which is a sad comment. He just needs to be the complete focus of adoration, BMOC. Real life was becoming too real, so he needed to erase those stumbling blocks. I believe it was that easy for him.
I believe there are so many psychosis involved with this man, obsessive/compulsive, narcissistic, sociopathic... bottom line: cold blooded killer. And yes, I do believe he must have done this before.
I also believe this is why the DA is putting on so much character testimony. At first, I thought they were crazy, as this "we all know he is a cad" seemed to make no sense. However, his behavior goes beyond caddish, imo.
Scott truly knows no boundaries, no right and wrong; anything for his own needs is fair game. Actually, he feels entitled, and is enabled by his family.
I still remember the AZ State golf scholarship story, the non existent scholarship. But according to Ma Peterson, Scott went off to a partial scholarship, only to return suddenly, gave no reason and no one asked. The school states there was no scholarship. Why lie?
I believe Scott does have a history of some sort, and the family has a call to action ready at all times. Just my opinion.

I'm just addicted.
