I do not know precisely what the networks do with the data from the AP, but I knew back then, that the networks were "managing" the data.

BTW, the RNC only "cared" about the party downtown in Washington. The RNC had nobody at their offices, who could tell me what their findings were; "We don't do that" or words to that effect.
